eToro's AI Assistant Has Executed More Than 500,000 Trades. Here's What It Actually Does

Tori, the assistant eToro launched in August 2025, trades stocks, commodities, crypto, ETFs and currencies and is used by more than a third of the broker's club members. It is the most autonomous of the mainstream brokers' tools — and eToro says it does not give advice.

eToro introduced Tori in August 2025 alongside a public API that lets its 'Popular Investors' build algorithms, run backtests and publish AI-powered tools for other users to copy, according to Finance Magnates. At the time the company described Tori as a companion that "answers questions, surfaces personalized insights and guides users across the eToro platform."

A year on, it is doing considerably more. According to an industry overview by Jefferies reported by Yahoo Finance, eToro disclosed on May 12, 2026 that Tori had executed more than 500,000 trades in its first year and had been adopted by over a third of the broker's club members. It supports equities, commodities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs and foreign exchange, which makes it broader than the equity-only agents at Robinhood and Interactive Brokers.

Jefferies grouped eToro with Coinbase and Robinhood as the brokers whose AI agents can recommend investments, build portfolios and execute trades within parameters the user sets, using the Model Context Protocol that lets language models act through brokerage systems. That puts Tori in the most autonomous category — and, for the user, the one with the most to understand before switching it on.

Three questions are worth answering before using it. What limits can you set, in money and in assets? Is there a confirmation step, or does it act on standing instructions? And who is responsible for a bad trade? On the last point, eToro's own position is that Tori provides educational content, data and general market insight, not investment advice — the same line Robinhood takes for its agents.

The adoption figures are the most interesting part. A third of club members using an AI assistant within a year, and half a million executed trades, suggests the question for retail investors is no longer whether these tools will be used but how well their users understand what they have delegated.
