FOMC Statement

The short text the Federal Reserve's policy committee publishes at 2:00 p.m. Eastern at the end of each of its eight yearly meetings: a description of the economy, the rate decision, forward guidance and the vote, including any dissents. Markets read it against the previous statement; on July 30, 2025, one changed sentence and two governors' dissents preceded the September cut.
