SAFU Fund

Binance's Secure Asset Fund for Users, an emergency reserve created in 2018 to cover customer losses from hacks. After a security incident on October 29, 2026 that it estimated affected about $6.3 billion of assets, Binance said losses would be covered from SAFU and its own funds.
