Fast Binary vs. Spot Trading: What's the Difference?
Same underlying asset, completely different payoff. Understanding the difference between a binary prediction and a spot position is the first thing to get straight before choosing either.
Spot trading means buying (or selling) the actual asset at its current market price. If you buy $100 of an asset and it rises 5%, your position is worth $105 — the profit is directly proportional to the size of the move. There's no fixed outcome, no expiry, and no cap on how much the price can move in your favor (or against you).
A binary prediction works completely differently. Instead of buying the asset, you're predicting whether its price will be above or below a specific reference point — the strike line — when a short countdown expires. The outcome is binary by design: get it right and collect a fixed payout, get it wrong and lose the full stake. The size of the move doesn't matter at all, only which side of the line the price lands on.
This has a direct consequence for how each should be approached. Spot trading rewards being right about direction over a timeframe you choose, and lets you exit whenever you want. Binary predictions compress everything into a single yes/no outcome at a fixed moment, which makes timing — not just direction — just as important as the call itself.
Trade2Spike offers both as separate modes for exactly this reason: Spot Trading mirrors the real market price with zero artificial spread, while Fast Binary uses fixed 30-120 second windows with a +85% payout on the strike line — practicing both side by side is the fastest way to feel the difference rather than just reading about it.
