Polkadot: what the data says

A multi-chain network designed to let independent blockchains share security and interoperate with one another. Founded by Gavin Wood, an Ethereum co-founder and its former CTO, its central network (the "Relay Chain") provides shared security to a set of specialized blockchains called "parachains," each optimized for specific use cases. This approach lets it combine the security of a single network with the flexibility of multiple independent chains.
