Silver: what the data says
A precious metal with both industrial and safe-haven demand, often more volatile than gold and sensitive to solar-panel and electronics manufacturing trends. Silver's market is much smaller than gold's in total dollar value, meaning the same size capital flows can move its price far more sharply. Traders often watch the gold-to-silver ratio as a gauge of which metal is relatively expensive or cheap at any given time.
