DODO's Sunday-Night Climb: +30%, Then −21% in an Hour (October 2026)
DODO rose 29.9% between Sunday evening and Monday's Asian morning on October 25–26, 2026, from $0.0230 to $0.02988, then fell 20.9% in about an hour. The rally came in two waves with no reported news, and Sunday's volume was eight times Saturday's. Replay a thin-market climb whose busiest candle was a falling one.
DODO is the token of a decentralised exchange of the same name, built around a market-making algorithm it calls the proactive market maker. From October 10 to October 24 it moved between $0.0181 and $0.02311, and on Saturday, October 24, it closed at $0.02211 on just $740,000 of volume. Sunday afternoon was quieter still: from 16:00 to 18:45 UTC the price sat between $0.0228 and $0.02304, quarter-hours traded $10,000 to $90,000, and the 18:45 candle carried 48 trades.
At 19:00 UTC something changed. That candle touched $0.02418 and closed up 2.48% at $0.02357 on $320,000 and 5,158 trades, more than a hundred times the trades of the quarter-hour before. The climb that followed came in steps: +2.89% at 20:30, +2.79% at 21:00, +2.33% at 21:30, then the two steepest candles, +7.27% at 22:00 to $0.0276 and +4.71% at 22:15 to $0.02891. The first wave topped in the 22:30 candle, which touched $0.02934 and closed 6.6% lower at $0.02705 on 5,054 trades, and by 23:15 DODO had traded down to $0.02512, 14.4% below that peak. No announcement or news explaining the move was reported, and this replay does not guess at one.
The second wave arrived as Asia woke up. The 00:00 UTC candle on Monday rose 4.85% to $0.02791, the 01:00 candle rose 7.06% to $0.02883, and the 01:15 candle reached $0.02988, 29.9% above Sunday's 18:45 close and DODO's highest price since August 6. It closed that same quarter-hour 5.65% lower. Then the floor gave way: −4.48% at 01:30, −4.54% at 01:45 on 6,515 trades, the most of any candle in the replay, and a low of $0.02364 in the 02:15 candle, 20.9% below the peak about an hour after it. A 5.83% bounce at 03:00 took the token back to $0.0265, and it was at $0.02549 at 04:00 UTC, still 10.8% above where Sunday evening began.
Sunday's daily candle shows a 20.5% gain to $0.02663, DODO's best day since August 5, on $5.89 million, about eight times Saturday. The nine hours from 19:00 UTC traded $6.86 million in all, which is the first thing to notice: at $300,000 to $500,000 a quarter-hour, a few determined buyers can lift a small token by a third. The second thing is the shape of the top. The second peak was higher than the first, but it was rejected inside its own candle, and the heaviest trading of the night came on the way down, at 01:45, not on the way up. A breakout that makes a new high while the busiest candles are red is telling you who is doing the selling.
