The Day After the Spike: Gains Network Gives Back 25% (October 2026)
A day after doubling, GNS briefly rose to $0.799 on October 14, 2026, then slid all day to close down 25.4%. Replay the fade hour by hour.
Gains Network (GNS), the token of a decentralised leveraged trading platform, rose 93.5% on October 13, 2026, to $0.716 on about 32 times its usual volume, after a peak of $0.858.
On October 14 buyers tried once more. In the first UTC hour GNS climbed to $0.799, but it could not get back to the previous day's high. From there it made a series of lower highs: $0.769 at 05:00 UTC, $0.715 at 09:00, $0.698 at 10:00 and $0.655 at 14:00. The heaviest selling came between 12:00 and 14:00 UTC, when it fell from $0.653 to $0.533, and the day's low of $0.501 came at 19:00 UTC.
GNS closed at $0.534, down 25.42%, and slipped to $0.479 early on October 15. Our October 14 signals had a bearish setup on GNS with a daily close above $0.858 as the invalidation level; the price never got near it.
The pattern — a failed retest of the high followed by a day of lower highs — is common after spikes on extreme volume, when the buyers who arrived late start selling to cut losses.
