Huma Finance's Monday: −24% by Mid-Morning, +48% by Evening (October 2026)
On Monday, October 26, 2026, HUMA fell 23.8% in under three hours to $0.01753, then rose 48% to $0.02596 by the evening, and closed the day down only 1.86%. It traded $15.8 million, about 20 times Sunday, with no announcement explaining either move. Replay a day whose daily candle hides almost everything.
Huma Finance describes itself as a payment-financing, or PayFi, network, and its HUMA token was launched through Binance Launchpool in May 2025. October had been a bad month for it: the token fell 14.0% on October 16 and 13.2% on October 22, and from a close of $0.02989 on October 21 it lost 22.5% in four sessions to $0.02317 on Sunday, October 25, on daily volumes of $0.4 million to $2.3 million. On Monday morning it was trading near $0.0230, and the 07:45 UTC quarter-hour carried 264 trades.
The first leg was down. Starting at 08:00 UTC, four consecutive quarter-hours fell 4.51%, 4.13%, 6.86% and 4.82%, taking the token from $0.02304 to $0.01878 in an hour, with the 08:30 candle trading $615,000 in 9,917 trades. After a brief bounce, the 10:00 candle fell 6.91% on 11,387 trades, and the low of $0.01753 came in the 10:45 quarter-hour, 23.8% below the 07:45 close and the lowest price in this replay. No announcement or news explaining the selling was reported, and this replay does not speculate.
The rebound was as abrupt and far less orderly. From 12:00 UTC four green quarter-hours, +5.91%, +2.40%, +6.98% and +6.57%, lifted HUMA to $0.02288, and the 13:00 candle touched $0.02444 on $825,000. Then three red candles took it back to $0.01927, a 21% fall from that high, before the 14:00 candle rose 12.49%, the largest move of the day, and the 14:45 candle reached $0.02573 on $1.06 million and 17,696 trades, the busiest quarter-hour of the replay. The day's high, $0.02596, came at 18:30 UTC, 48.1% above the morning low. The token then faded into the close: the 23:45 candle fell 6.96%, and Monday's daily candle closed at $0.02274, down 1.86%, on $15.8 million.
Read only the daily chart and Monday was a quiet down day; read the quarter-hours and it held a 24% crash and a 48% rally. Two things are worth noticing. The selling came on fewer trades than the buying, and the busiest candles of the day were in the 14:00 to 15:00 rebound, which is what short sellers closing positions or late buyers chasing look like. And none of it settled anything: on Tuesday, October 27, HUMA dipped to $0.02067 in the 03:00 UTC hour before trading back above $0.025 by 06:00, still about 12% below its October 20 close.
