Nillion, the privacy-computation network's token, is a market that moves in bursts and spends the time between them drifting. On October 14, 2026 it rose 17% on $9.8 million of Binance volume, three times its norm; on October 15 it traded $12 million and reversed; by Sunday, October 18, it had closed at $0.0769 after a low of $0.0729, its weakest level in a month. Monday's Asian morning began at $0.0741 with quarter-hour volumes of $20,000 to $50,000, and a first small lift at 06:15 to $0.0780 on $107,000 faded back to $0.0765 within two hours.

The first burst came at 11:15 UTC. The candle traded $428,000 and 3,871 trades, fifteen times the quarter-hours around it, and rose from $0.0769 to $0.0795; the 11:45 candle reached $0.0828 on $261,000; and the 12:00 candle was the one that mattered, from $0.0820 to a close of $0.0878 with a high of $0.0889, on $860,000 and 11,028 trades, the busiest fifteen minutes the pair had seen since the October 14 rally. The 12:15 candle printed $0.0902 and then closed lower at $0.0866 on $361,000, and the 13:15 candle dropped to $0.0839 on $349,000, taking back a third of the burst in an hour.

The second burst was slower and ended higher. From the 13:15 low the price climbed a quarter-hour at a time, $0.0854 at 14:00, $0.0867 at 15:00, $0.0880 at 15:30, with volumes of $100,000 to $200,000 a candle, and the 16:30 and 16:45 candles took it to $0.0898 and then the day's high of $0.0912 on $478,000, 23% above the 05:15 price and 25% above Sunday's low. That candle also closed well off its high, at $0.0889, and the evening gave back 5%: $0.0885 at 17:45, a low of $0.0864 in the 18:15 candle, and a close for the day at $0.0859, up 11.7%, on $8 million of volume, two and a half times Sunday's. On Tuesday morning the token was steady near $0.0864.

The date on the calendar is what makes this replay more than a chart. Nillion has a token unlock scheduled for Friday, October 24, listed by CryptoRank among the week's releases, and a token that falls to a monthly low on the Sunday before an unlock and then rallies 23% on Monday is following a pattern this site has recorded several times this month, in LayerZero, Starknet and Celestia: the move comes before the date, in a thin market, and the unlock itself arrives into a price that has already been set. Whether Monday's buyers were positioning for the release or simply found a thin book is not knowable from the tape; what the tape shows is two bursts, two closes off the high, and a token that drifts between them.
