Osmosis, the Cosmos-ecosystem exchange token, had a pattern before Monday. On October 12, 2026 it jumped from $0.0373 to a high of $0.0565 and closed at $0.0516 on $7.2 million of Binance volume, twenty times its usual turnover, then spent the week giving it back: $0.0417 on October 13, a second attempt to $0.054 on October 14, and a close of $0.0412 on Saturday, October 17. Sunday added 7.5% on $2.1 million. Monday's early Asian hours were quiet, with the pair at $0.0447 at 06:00 UTC and quarter-hour volumes of a few thousand dollars.
The 07:45 candle was the first signal: $219,000 traded and the price moved from $0.0462 to $0.0489, and the 08:00 candle followed with $309,000 and a push to $0.0524. The 08:00 hour as a whole traded $905,000 and closed at $0.0526; the 09:00 hour added $512,000 and closed at $0.0571; the 10:00 hour was the climax, $1.5 million of turnover, a high of $0.0620 in its first candle and $0.0649 in the 10:45 candle, 45% above the 06:00 price and 57% above Saturday's close. That 10:45 candle is the one to study: it opened at $0.0620, printed the high, and closed at $0.0590 on $453,000, the heaviest quarter-hour of the day, a reversal candle on the day's biggest volume.
The afternoon was a slow argument between the two sides. The 11:15 candle dropped to $0.0561, the 12:00 and 12:30 candles recovered $0.0600, the 14:15 and 14:30 candles retested $0.0612 on nearly $200,000 each, and the 15:00 candle fell from $0.0606 to $0.0582. From 16:00 UTC the sellers won every hour: $0.0569 at 17:00, $0.0552 at 18:00, $0.0533 at 19:00, $0.0519 at 20:00, and a low of $0.0506 in the 21:15 candle, 22% below the morning high with 71% of the day's gain erased. A late bounce from $0.0505 to $0.0552 in the 23:30 and 23:45 candles, on $200,000, left the day's close at $0.0543, up 22.6% on $7.7 million.
Two things make the replay useful. First, the clock: the move ran from 07:45 to 10:45 UTC, the overlap between Asian afternoon and European morning, the same window as the October 12 spike, and faded through the US session. Second, the reversal candle at the high on the day's heaviest volume, the textbook sign that the buyers who started the move were the sellers who ended it. A token that has spiked 40% and retraced twice in eight days is telling you how it trades; the third time is on the chart.
