Sleepless AI Traded $76 Million in 75 Minutes, 400 Times Its Usual Day, and the Price Ended Up 4.7% (October 2026)
AI, the Sleepless AI token, had traded $207,000 in the whole of October 21, 2026. Between 10:15 and 11:29 UTC on October 22 it traded $76 million and 96,762 trades. The first of those candles rose 10.4% to $0.0212, the high of $0.0214 came fifteen minutes later, and the next four candles, each carrying $14 to $22 million, drifted lower. The 11:30 candle traded $122,000, a 99% drop in one step, at $0.0201, 4.7% above the start. The day closed up 1.5%. Replay a volume burst that the price barely noticed, on a token where every tick is half a percent.
Sleepless AI is a small AI-companion gaming token that came to Binance as the exchange's 42nd Launchpool project; Binance's own pages describe it as a currency for in-game top-up discounts and for staking. By October 2026 it was a quiet market: between $0.0185 and $0.0248 all month, with daily volume of $0.17 to $3.2 million and only $173,000 and $207,000 on October 20 and 21. One detail of its market structure matters for this replay: the pair is quoted to four decimal places, so the smallest possible price step, $0.0001, is about 0.5% of the price. The chart moves in half-percent stairs whether or not anything is happening.
Nothing was happening on the morning of October 22. The token traded $0.0188 to $0.0191 from 06:00 to 09:00 UTC on candles of a few thousand dollars, and the 09:00 to 09:30 candles added a small bid, to $0.0192, on $11,000 to $31,000 each. Then the 10:15 candle opened at $0.0192, reached $0.0213 and closed at $0.0212, up 10.4%, on $6.23 million and 8,254 trades. The 10:30 candle printed the high of $0.0214 and closed at $0.0211 on $18.4 million; the 10:45 candle closed at $0.0208 on $15.0 million; the 11:00 candle, the heaviest of the day, closed at $0.0207 on $21.9 million and 29,891 trades; and the 11:15 candle fell 2.9% to $0.0201 on $14.5 million and 27,810 trades. In seventy-five minutes the pair traded $76.0 million, more than three hundred and fifty times its whole previous day, and the price ended 4.7% above where it began.
Then it stopped, in a single candle. The 11:30 quarter-hour traded $122,000 and 746 trades, and the 11:45 candle $95,000. A second, smaller burst came between 13:00 and 13:44 UTC, $4.7 million across three candles, with the price pinned between $0.0201 and $0.0206. October 22 closed at $0.0198, up 1.5%, on $84.2 million and 131,454 trades, about 400 times the volume of October 21. The night drifted down to $0.0193 in the 22:00 hour, the Asian morning of October 23 lifted it to $0.0208 in the 03:00 hour, and the token was at $0.0204 at 05:00 UTC, with that day's volume at $1.8 million.
No announcement, listing or partnership was reported for the token that day, and this replay does not guess at who was trading. What the chart shows is enough. Compare it with the AltLayer replay from the day before, where $9.8 million of volume carried the price 62% in seventy-five minutes: here eight times the money moved the price a thirteenth as far, and most of it changed hands at prices that were going down. Turnover that arrives and leaves at the same price is not the same thing as demand. Volume counts trades. It does not say which side wanted them.
