Micron's Chip Rout: $796 to $660 in a Day (November 2026)
Tokenised Micron fell from $796 at Wednesday's US close to $660 at Thursday's on November 5, 2026, as chip stocks had their worst day since March 2020. Replay a sector-wide sell-off in 15-minute steps.
Micron's tokenised shares on Binance closed Wednesday's US session at $796.27 and drifted lower overnight as Asian chip stocks fell, with South Korea's Kospi down 5.28%. By 13:00 UTC on Thursday, November 5, an hour and a half before New York opened, the price was already near $757.
The opening bell turned a slide into a rout. The 14:30 UTC candle touched $762.78 and then fell to $732.68 on about $795,000 of volume; the next two quarter-hours took it to $711.83 and $700.00. The busiest candle of the day, at 15:30 UTC, traded $1.49 million, and fifteen minutes later the price reached $657.52, down 17.4% from Wednesday's close.
A first rebound lifted it to about $692 in the following hour, but it did not hold. Micron spent the afternoon between $676 and $695 and closed the US session at $659.61, down 17.2%, close to the 17.46% fall reported for the listed shares. Overnight trading pushed the tokenised price to a low of $649.69 at 23:15 UTC before it recovered to about $686 early on Friday.
Micron had no news of its own. It fell with the whole semiconductor group, which lost more than 12% as investors questioned whether the AI data-centre buildout would slow after the US midterms, and with the other memory makers, whose shares had been lifted all year by the memory shortage. The replay shows how a stock with no company-specific headline can lose a sixth of its value when a sector's story changes.
