QQQB, the Binance token that tracks the Invesco QQQ fund and so the Nasdaq-100, ended Tuesday's US session near $686, in line with QQQ's close of $685.28. It was a good day for tech: chipmakers rebounded and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.83%. As polls began to close from 23:00 UTC, the token edged up to $690.64 in the 23:30 candle, its high of the replay.

Then the counting started. Early returns and prediction markets pointed to a Democratic sweep, with Kalshi pricing Democratic control at about 90% for the Senate and 97% for the House. The 00:15 UTC candle fell to $682.00 on $128,843 of volume, and the 01:00 candle, with 1,913 trades, the most of the night, and $273,128 of volume, took the token to $676.10. Investors' concern, according to the reports, was that a Democratic Congress could tighten oversight of AI companies and the data-centre build-out that has carried the index.

The low came at $670.00 in the 03:00 UTC candle, 3.0% below the evening high and 2.2% below QQQ's close. At 9:46 p.m. ET, about the time the token was making its low, Nasdaq-100 futures were down nearly 2%, according to Benzinga, and Fox Business later reported a 2.2% drop with S&P 500 futures down 1.3%. Democrats were projected to win the Senate and the House, and Japan's Nikkei fell 3%.

The recovery was as orderly as the fall. From the 04:30 UTC candle the token climbed back in steps, $677.58 at 04:45, $680.69 at 05:00, and ended the replay near $683, about 0.3% below Tuesday's close. The replay shows how markets price a political result in thin overnight trading: the move is quick and large, and the first rebound often comes before the cash market even opens.
