Nasdaq-100 Token Fell 6% Into a Correction (November 2026)

Tokenised QQQ fell from $692 to $649 on November 5, 2026, as the Nasdaq Composite dropped 5.52% and closed more than 10% below its record. Replay an index-wide sell-off in 15-minute steps.

The tokenised Invesco QQQ fund, which tracks the Nasdaq-100, closed Wednesday's US session at $692.25 after the post-election rally and held near $686 to $689 through the European morning of Thursday, November 5. Futures weakened in the hour before the open and the price was at $684.37 by 14:15 UTC.

The open broke it. The 14:30 UTC candle fell from $683.89 to $671.98, and the selling continued in steady steps: $667.53, $663.00, $660.60 and $658.36 at the close of each following quarter-hour. The 15:45 UTC candle was the heaviest so far, $1.45 million of volume, and it touched $648.52 before closing at $654.33.

Buyers tried to steady it. The next two candles lifted the price to $662.47, and it held between about $652 and $660 through the middle of the session. The last hour gave that back: the fund closed the US session at $649.31, down 6.2% from Wednesday and close to the 6.49% fall reported for QQQ itself. Overnight trading took it to $639.74 at 23:15 UTC before it recovered to about $654 on Friday morning.

Compared with a single stock, the index fell in small, regular steps rather than in one gap, because the selling spread from chips to software, consumer and industrial names over the session. The replay shows what a correction looks like in real time: no single moment of panic, but a market that kept finding lower prices until the close.
