Oracle's Investor-Day Jump: +9.7% in One Candle (October 2026)
Binance's tokenised Oracle rose 9.71% in a single 15-minute candle on October 28, 2026, from $129.41 to $141.98, and peaked at $148.53, as the company capped its new outside funding at $20 billion. Then Alphabet's report took $5.67 off it after hours. Replay a rally and its first test.
Oracle went into its investor day near the bottom of a long fall. ORCLB, the Binance token that tracks the shares, had closed between $125.28 and $131.88 every day since October 21, and the stock was down about 50% over twelve months and about 60% since the previous investor day in October 2025, The Motley Fool noted. Through the European morning and the start of the US session on Wednesday, October 28, the token drifted lower, from $132.78 in the 10:00 UTC hour to $130.32 at 17:45 UTC, on quarter-hour volumes rarely above $20,000.
The move came after the Fed. The 18:00 UTC quarter-hour, when the Federal Reserve announced its decision to hold rates, slipped 0.50% to $129.64. The next one, 18:15 UTC, opened at $129.41, dipped to $128.62 and then rose to $142.29, closing at $141.98, up 9.71% on $135,700 and 4,112 trades, as Oracle's investor-day figures reached the market: fiscal 2030 targets of at least $225 billion of revenue and $21 of non-GAAP earnings a share, positive free cash flow from the second half of fiscal 2028, and a cap of $20 billion on new outside funding through fiscal 2030.
Buyers kept coming for half an hour. The 18:30 candle rose 3.07% to $146.26 and the 18:45 candle reached $148.30, and the high of the replay, $148.53, came at 19:00 UTC, 15.5% above the $128.62 low of the jump candle. The token then eased into the close, ending the 19:45 quarter-hour at $144.55; Oracle's shares closed at $144.54, up 10.73%, on about 80 million shares, roughly 2.6 times their three-month average and the largest gain since May.
The first test came twenty minutes later and from somewhere else. When Alphabet reported at 20:00 UTC and its shares fell about 9% after hours, the AI trade sold off as a group: ORCLB's 20:15 candle fell 2.93% to $139.20, with a low of $138.88, $9.65 below the high. It did not break further. By 21:00 UTC the token was back at $141.19, and it spent the Asian session between $139.72 and $142.48, ending the replay at $141.49. Heavy volume and a close near the high suggested a change in positioning; the after-hours dip showed how quickly a company still financing its build-out can be pulled back into a sector-wide sell-off.
