Robinhood's After-Hours Drop: −8% in Two Hours (October 2026)

Binance's tokenised Robinhood fell 8.4% in two hours after the broker's third-quarter report on October 27, 2026, from $94.74 to $86.83. Earnings of $0.51 a share missed the $0.55 consensus and crypto revenue fell 55%. Replay the evening a record quarter was sold anyway.

The report landed at the end of a good day. HOODB, the Binance token that tracks Robinhood Markets shares, had climbed from $93.34 in the European morning of Tuesday, October 27, to a high of $96.76 in the 16:00 UTC hour, and it closed the regular US session at $94.74 in the 19:45 quarter-hour. Robinhood had said weeks earlier that it would publish its third-quarter results after the close, and the token, which keeps trading when Nasdaq stops, was the place where the first reaction would show.

The numbers were a record and a miss at once. Net revenue rose 12% to $1.42 billion, a hair under the roughly $1.43 billion analysts expected, and diluted earnings of $0.51 a share were down 16% on the year and short of the $0.55 consensus. Inside the revenue line the business had changed shape: options revenue rose 31% to $399 million, event contracts, Robinhood's prediction markets, brought in $173 million, more than six times a year earlier, while crypto revenue fell 55% to $120 million and net interest revenue slipped 9% to $415 million. Operating expenses rose 16% to $739 million. Net deposits were $15.7 billion and Robinhood Gold reached a record 5.2 million subscribers, according to the company's filing with the SEC.

The token's answer came in one candle. The 20:00 UTC quarter-hour traded $193,000 in 3,898 trades, more than in any full hour of the day, and fell from a high of $95.80 to $89.68 before closing at $91.69, down 3.44%. The 20:15 candle reached $88.87. A bounce of 0.74% at 20:45 to $90.33 was the only real attempt to buy the dip; the 21:30 quarter-hour fell 1.29% on $72,000 to a low of $87.60, and the 22:00 candle printed $86.83, 8.35% below the closing price and 10.3% below the afternoon high. CoinDesk reported the shares down about 5% in post-market trading, and other outlets put the after-hours fall between 4% and 7%; the token, trading against thinner liquidity, went further.

What followed was almost nothing. From 22:15 UTC to 06:00 the next morning HOODB moved between $86.83 and $88.08, and two hours in the Asian session traded about $250,000 each without moving the price more than 0.35%. The token ended its UTC day down 6.63% on $936,000, its busiest session of the week. Two points stand out. Crypto revenue beat its own forecast of $114.1 million and still fell by more than half, so the market sold the total rather than the detail. And the overnight price settled within one dollar of where it was at midnight, a sign that the first two hours had already done the work the opening bell usually does.
