Vistra After the Texas Vote: $140 to $118 (November 2026)

Tokenised Vistra fell from about $140 to $117.58 on November 4, 2026, as investors priced slower AI data-centre growth in Texas after the midterms. Replay a sector repricing in 15-minute steps.

VSTB, the Binance token that tracks Vistra, one of the largest power producers in Texas, opened the replay near $140 on Tuesday evening, November 3, in line with the stock's $139.59 close. Trading in the token is thin outside US hours, and several night candles show no trades at all, so its price moves in steps rather than a smooth line.

The first leg down came overnight as the results arrived. By 03:00 UTC the token was at $134.65, about 3.5% lower, as Democrats who had campaigned on pausing data-centre development won the Texas governorship; Texas accounts for about a quarter of the US data-centre capacity due online by 2030. It recovered to about $139 in the European morning, when the overnight fear eased across markets.

The second leg came as US traders arrived. From $136.53 at 11:00 UTC the token fell to $130.87 in the 12:00 candle on $30,451 of volume, to $127.94 by 13:00 and to $124.25 by 15:00. It touched the low of the replay, $117.58, at 15:45 UTC, and the heaviest trading, $62,225, came in the 16:00 candle as it hovered between $118 and $120.

The stock closed at $120.29, down 13.8% on the day, after an intraday fall of 15.4% reported by Reuters, while GE Vernova lost 11.5% and Constellation Energy 9.2% and solar stocks rose. The token ended the replay at $121.43. The replay shows a sector repricing rather than a company event: no new figures from Vistra itself, only a change in what investors expect its largest customers to build.
