Tokenised SpaceX Rose 9% Overnight on Its First Profit, With a 20:00 UTC Candle of 86,000 Trades (October 2026)
SPCXB, the tokenised version of SpaceX stock that trades around the clock on Binance, was $148.06 when the US market closed at 20:00 UTC on October 20, 2026, after the shares had ended the regular session down 0.11% at $147.79. SpaceX published its third-quarter report minutes later: revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161%, and a first profit of $4.4 billion. The 20:00 candle traded $4.5 million and 45,373 trades, dipping to $145.40 before closing at $151.77; the 20:00 hour traded $8.9 million and 86,081 trades; the 22:30 candle crossed $159, and the pair reached $162.06 at 02:00 UTC on October 21, up 9.4%. Replay a US earnings reaction as a 24-hour market traded it.
SpaceX listed in June 2026 at $135 a share, peaked at $225.64 on June 16 and spent October between $140 and $151 as the AI trade sold off around it. Its tokenised twin on Binance, SPCXB, tracks the stock one-for-one and trades every hour of the week, which means it is the only live price for SpaceX between the 4 p.m. New York close and the next morning's open. On October 20 the token had fallen to $143.52 in the 13:30 UTC candle, the first of the US session, on $2.5 million, recovered to $148.79 in the 14:00 hour and drifted between $146 and $148 into the close, mirroring the shares.
The report was published after the 4 p.m. close, inside the 20:00 UTC quarter-hour. The candle opened at $148.06, fell to $145.40 as the first headlines crossed, then reversed to a high of $152.20 and closed at $151.77, up 2.5%, on $4.5 million and 45,373 trades, more than ten times the trades of any quarter-hour that day; the 20:00 hour as a whole traded $8.9 million and 86,081 trades. That first dip is the detail to study: the tape sold the headline revenue number for about a minute, then bought the operating profit and the $7.56 billion of AI revenue as traders read past the first line.
The rest of the evening was a staircase with no sellers. The 20:45 candle rose 2% to $154.10 on $2.1 million, the 21:00 candle printed $155.93, the 22:00 candle $158.15 and the 22:30 candle $159.55 on $1.6 million, the 22:45 candle closed at $160.18, up 8.3% from the close, as US outlets reported the shares up 8% in extended trading. The 23:00 candle was the only real rejection, from $160.39 to $158.00 on $2.1 million, and it was bought within thirty minutes. Through the Asian session the token climbed slowly, $161.60 in the 00:30 candle, $161.32 at 01:00, and the high of $162.06 in the 02:00 candle, 9.4% above the 20:00 open and 12.9% above Tuesday's low, on steady $500,000 to $800,000 quarter-hours. By 05:00 UTC it was $161.89 with volume down to a few thousand dollars a candle.
Compare this with the SOXLB replay from two days earlier, when the tokenised chip ETF rose 19% from a Sunday-evening low and gave back half as Asia reopened. SpaceX's move was one direction, on one piece of news, and the Asian session confirmed rather than faded it; the difference was that Seoul opened 3% higher on the same AI reports that had lifted the token. The replay shows what an earnings reaction looks like when it is not interrupted by a close: a dip, a decision, and then eight hours of orderly buying that the regular session will inherit at 9:30 a.m. in New York.
