Treehouse Rose 62% in Two Hours, Then Fell 38% in 45 Minutes: a Spike Hidden Inside a +7% Day (October 2026)

Treehouse's TREE token closed October 24, 2026 up 7.0% at $0.0443. Inside that day, it rose from $0.0455 at 08:45 UTC to $0.0736 at 10:45, up 62%, then fell to $0.0459 by 11:30, wiping out almost the whole move in three quarter-hours. The day traded $18.5 million, about nine times the day before. Replay a pump that the daily candle barely shows, fifteen minutes at a time.

Treehouse is a decentralised fixed-income protocol: it issues tETH, a token that tracks the interest rates earned on staked ether, and its TREE token is used for governance and staking. In October 2026 TREE traded in a narrow, falling range, from about $0.040 in mid-month to a low of $0.0351 on October 18, on $200,000 to $500,000 a day. On October 23 it rose 10.40% to $0.0414 on $2.08 million, the first sign of interest in weeks, and it was at $0.0455 at 08:45 UTC on October 24.

The rally came in two waves. The 09:15 candle reached $0.0530 on $752,000; the 09:30 candle rose 14.71% to $0.0577 on $947,000 and 10,108 trades, and the 10:00 candle touched $0.0616. After a 6.17% dip in the 10:15 candle, the second wave was steeper: the 10:30 quarter-hour rose 18.51% to $0.0666, and the 10:45 candle printed the high of $0.0736, 61.8% above the 08:45 price. It did not close there. That same candle ended at $0.0587, down 11.86%, on $2.35 million and 23,544 trades, the heaviest quarter-hour of the day, which means most of its volume was selling into the spike rather than buying it. No announcement explaining the move was reported, and this replay does not guess at one.

The unwind was faster than the rise. The 11:00 candle fell 4.08% and the 11:15 candle 11.70% to $0.0498, and by 11:30 UTC the token had traded at $0.0459, 37.6% below the high and only 0.9% above where the morning began; the high had lasted less than fifteen minutes. A bounce to $0.0519 in the 12:30 candle failed, the token drifted through the rest of the session, and it closed the day at $0.0443, up 7.0% on $18.5 million and 179,113 trades. Into Sunday morning it kept falling, to $0.0377 by 01:45 UTC on October 25, below the level at which the rally began.

The daily chart records a 7% gain with a long upper wick. The intraday chart records something more useful: a trader who bought the breakout above $0.060 at 10:00 UTC was down about 20% an hour later, and the token gave back 38% in less time than it took to rise. Two signs in the candles are worth remembering. The biggest volume came in the candle that made the high and closed far below it, the classic signature of distribution. And the second wave peaked inside a candle that opened at $0.0666 and closed at $0.0587, below where it started: buyers who arrived in that quarter-hour were trapped above the market within minutes.
