Walrus in Three Waves: +76% From Open to Peak in 22 Hours (October 2026)

On October 14, 2026, WAL rose from $0.0385 to $0.0679 in three separate bursts on about 36 times its usual volume, then gave back 14% before the close. Replay it hour by hour and decide which wave you would have trusted.

Walrus (WAL) is the token of a decentralised storage network built on the Sui blockchain. For most of October 13 it traded in a tight range around $0.038 on Binance, with hourly volume of only a few tens of thousands of dollars.

The move came in three waves. In the first UTC hour of October 14 it jumped to $0.0423 on about $0.8 million of volume, then slipped back below $0.040. Between 05:00 and 10:00 UTC a second wave took it to $0.0555, with $1.4-3.3 million traded per hour. After several hours of sideways trading, the third wave between 16:00 and 21:00 UTC lifted it to $0.06786, 76.1% above the previous close.

WAL closed the day at $0.05844, up 51.67%, on $42.3 million of Binance volume — around 36 times its 20-day average. No project announcement explaining the rally had been reported. On the morning of October 15 it was swinging between $0.053 and $0.066, a sign that early buyers were taking profits while others were still arriving.

Things to watch in the replay: each wave started from a higher base after a pause, which is typical of momentum moves driven by new buyers. The question a trader faces at each pause is whether it is a rest before the next leg or the top.
