Airbnb, DraftKings, Bitcoin and Nvidia After the Rout

Four theoretical setups for Friday, November 6: Airbnb after a beat and a $12 billion buyback, DraftKings after a profit-guide cut, bitcoin below $76,000 and Nvidia after a 9% fall.

ABNB · Airbnb, Inc. — Bullish, Short-term (days). Airbnb reported third-quarter revenue up 19% to $4.87 billion against $4.75 billion expected, earnings of $3.16 a share against $2.85, raised its full-year outlook and authorised a further $12 billion of buybacks. The shares rose about 12% to $188.78 after hours, a gain made on a day when the Nasdaq fell 5.5%, which suggests buyers were waiting for company-specific news. The risk is that Friday's open meets a market still selling growth stocks after the October jobs report. A daily close below $168.50 would invalidate the setup, since it would mean the stock had given back the whole post-earnings gain.

DKNG · DraftKings Inc. — Bearish, Short-term (days). DraftKings cut its 2026 adjusted EBITDA forecast to $175 million to $275 million from $700 million to $900 million, raised planned spending on its Predictions product to $650 million to $700 million and missed revenue estimates, and the shares fell about 23% to $18.08 after hours. Guidance cuts of this size tend to bring analyst downgrades over the following days, and the company faces a rival with a much larger share of sports prediction markets. A daily close above $23.11 would invalidate the setup, as it would mean the stock had recovered its entire pre-report level.

BTC/USD · Bitcoin — Bearish, Short-term (days). Bitcoin fell from a high of $80,918 early on Thursday to $75,208 on Binance late in the day, about 7%, as the Nasdaq dropped 5.5% and the iShares Semiconductor ETF more than 12%, and it traded near $75,500 early on Friday. Bitfinex had described Wednesday's rebound as short covering without new spot buyers, and that buying has now faded. With risk appetite falling across technology, the path of least resistance is lower until spot demand returns. A daily close above $80,918 would invalidate the setup, retaking Thursday's high.

NVDA · NVIDIA Corporation — Neutral, Swing (1-4 weeks). Nvidia fell 9.26% to $181.60 on Thursday on volume of about 306 million shares, roughly three times its 30-day average, as investors questioned whether the data-centre buildout will slow after the midterm elections. Reported demand has not weakened: AMD said this week that its data-centre sales more than doubled. With results due on November 17, the next move depends on the company's guidance and on whether hyperscalers confirm their spending plans, not on the chart, so no directional setup.
