Telecoms and wireless carriers
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and the tower companies, and the satellite challenger that wants their customers.
US wireless was a three-company market for years: the carriers competed on phone plans and promotions, rented antenna space from a handful of tower owners and paid steady dividends. A satellite operator selling phone service, and possibly building a fourth network on the same towers, has turned that settled business into a market story again.
Our coverage follows the quarterly phone additions and churn, the spectrum deals, the tower companies that would host a new entrant, and the days when one report moves all of them at once.
